Herbarium samples from Massachusetts formerly
identified as S. pentandra L.
The possibility that some of the specimens annotated 'needs more study' really belong to
S. pentandra cannot be excluded,
but none of them has been collected well enough to identify them
as S. pentandra with full confidence.
