Once in a while we reach out to the area of coniferous forests in north-central Massachusetts. It is only there that we can find many boreal plants growing to their potential. It was difficult to recognize the familiar dwarf ginseng in this tall plant! Spring came late in 2014, and flowers were only starting to develop.
