Milkweed tiger moth or milkweed tussock moth (Euchaetes egle) frequently uses milkweeds of various species and sometimes dogbanes (Apocynum spp.) as larval host plants. Larvae often feed on older milkweed shoots and seldom share shoots with monarchs, which prefer younger ones.
