Peddocks Island, Hull
Viewpoint on this plant in New England has been recently changed.
It was once thought to be mostly represented
by European plants. It is now believed to be mostly the native
subspecies, whose distinctive character is leaf segments oriented in
various planes. A solitary perennial
plant able to hold on to the steep eroded
slope of a drumlin called Prince's Head on one of the
Boston Harbor islands.
