The two species of spurry are annuals, though differing drastically
in their phenology. Morison's spurry is an ephemeral
creature of early spring that produces seed and disappears with
the start of summer. Corn spurry lives through the season, flowers in
June-July, and only disperses its seed after its cultivated host gets out of
the way.
