Comparison shot: with L. maritima at the bottom right. The two species are look-alikes and
can be easily confused when one tries to key out a single
specimen. However, when they are found growing together, their
differences become more obvious. L. maritima is colored lighter (it is all silvery due to abundant hairs).
L. intermedia is also hairy, though much greener.
