Acute inflexed corolla tips and specific papillose texture of corolla and calyx are characteristic for Cuscuta indecora-complex. Two species (C. indecora and C. coryli) have been reported from Massachusetts but T. Beliz (1987-1986 in herbaria) considered C. coryli as a synonym of C. indecora, while M. Costea (Costea et al 2006) did not mention C. indecora from Massachusetts at all. We follow treatment of these dodders by Mihai Costea.
