A putative hybrid of highbush and lowbush blueberry described from SE Massachusetts in 1914 by Bicknell (The Ferns and Flowering Plants of Nantucket--XIII) as a distinct non-hybrid species (Bicknell described the hybrid separately, in the same article, next to his new V. atlanticum). This subpopulation was found on a power line immediately outside MSSF border.
