Widely used as an erosion control plant for slopes and banks,
the African/Eurasian crown-vetch has become a common plant in
New England with invasive tendency. A single plant is
capable of covering up to one hundred sq. ft in 4 years due to fast spreading
rhizomes, displacing all other plants on its territory. It is difficult to
eradicate.
