A semi-evergreen spreading shrub that has escaped from cultivation (originating from China). According to FNA, introduced only to Washington and British Columbia. So far it has not been known from the wild in Massachusetts; is frequently sold in nurseries. Flowers and fruit are needed to confirm the identification.
