Tall white is one of stemmed violets (their peduncles arise
from leaf axils). It is indeed very
tall (up to 40 cm) and white--only with a
tint of purple on the outside of petals both in older flowers
and in bud. This violet is one of few stemmed species capable of producing
branched stems, i.e., one or a few leafy axillary shoots.
