Similar to V. arvensis in many respects: also an annual stemmed violet introduced from Europe and weedy, also with leaf-like stipules and dilated globose style; flowers also variously colored, though darker and somewhat larger, their petals exceeding sepals. Found near the wall of the headquarters building.
