Leaffolder moth larvae make leaf rolls by spinning strands of silk, which contract and pull the leaf tissue. About ten such bands are made per single roll (we don't see all of them, as some are inside the roll). Larva builds at least two rolls during its development and feeds inside, skeletonizing the leaf. In the US, it is a relatively minor pest of both wild and cultivated grapes.
