Planted on the high river bank upon reconstruction of a historic dam. The dam was partially dismantled, and a pedestrian bridge was installed. The willow is located on both sides of stairs leading down to the bridge. Sandbar willow has thus been introduced to Plymouth County, from where it had not been previously known. However, as this willow naturally grows in close proximity to running water, it might not tolerate being as high up on the bank.
