Planted on the high river bank upon demolition of an old dam. The dam was dismantled, and a pedestrian bridge was installed. Willows were planted on both sides of stairs leading down to the new bridge. Sandbar willow was thus introduced to Plymouth County, from where it had not been previously known. However, as this willow naturally grows in close proximity to running water, it might not tolerate being as high up on the bank. Photo taken in 2013.
