Chances are no one emptied a fish tank here, in the heart of Myles Standish
Forest. Most probably, Carolina fanwort was brought here
on a canoe bottom from another pond. Chunks of this plant have ability to
root. Plymouth ponds right outside Myles Standish are known to be infested
(see photos from Cooks Pond, Plymouth).
