Carex vulpinoidea Michaux2 of 21
June 28, Borderland Park, Sharon
fox sedge
Fox sedge is cespitose (forming dense
clumps), stiff and scabrous all over its leaves and stems. It is very similar to
another common sedge, C. annectens (though in C. annectens the spikes have less bracts and are on
culms taller than the leaves).
