Siberian squill seemingly enjoys the climate of New England, which
is quite different from the climate of its native land! The secret of this
bulbous plant is in its seasonal cycle. It belongs to the group of spring
ephemeroids--plants that have only a short two-three-week period early in
spring to complete flowering and fruit production. The rest of the year
Siberian squill remains dormant and thus avoids hostilities of foreign lands it
now inhabits.
