Location # 1. Mowed margin of an asphalt road near camping site. We made two stops in this area and found the plant both times. The two locations were 0.9 miles apart. The plant formed inconspicuous flat patches in well-lit areas mostly devoid of other vegetation. It is quite widespread outside New England but has not been recorded in any of New England states to the best of our knowledge.
